As the first digital marketing hire for The Tiger Woods Foundation I had the extraordinary opportunity to project manage the comprehensive redesign and consolidation of Tiger Woods' diverse business ventures into a unified brand presence under "TGR Ventures." This case study showcases my expertise in orchestrating a seamless transition, including the migration of multiple websites from a custom CMS to WordPress, while preserving the unique essence of each venture.

Challenge:

Tiger Woods' various business entities, from golf course design to philanthropic efforts, were each represented by separate websites and fragmented digital identities. My challenge was twofold: To create a cohesive, user-friendly web ecosystem under the umbrella of TGR Ventures while preserving the individual character and missions of each business. Additionally, migrating these sites from a custom CMS to WordPress without compromising content, functionality, or SEO was a formidable undertaking.

Migration and Redesign:

1. Comprehensive Audit:
I initiated the project with an exhaustive audit of existing websites, content, and user experiences. With an agency Sub Rosa I identified key elements to be retained, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing the user journey.

2. Unified Brand Identity:
Collaborating closely with Tiger Woods and his team, we developed a unified brand identity for TGR Ventures that reflected the essence and values of each business.
This included crafting a new visual identity, logo, and design elements that seamlessly integrated all ventures under one cohesive brand umbrella.

3. Customized WordPress Migration:
I meticulously mapped out the migration strategy, ensuring a smooth transition from the custom CMS to WordPress. Our agency experts worked to replicate the existing functionality while enhancing site performance and security.

4. Content Preservation:
By analyzing Google Analytics data I prioritized the preservation of valuable content, including blog posts, media galleries, and historical data, meticulously transferring and optimizing them for the WordPress platform.

5. User-Centric Design:

Our design team created a user-centric interface, optimizing navigation and enhancing the overall user experience. Mobile responsiveness and accessibility were integral aspects of our design strategy.
